Pertamina International Refinery (KPI) Processes 850,000 Barrels per Day

FUEL POLICY - JAKARTA. PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), the Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company, continued its operations throughout the long Eid al-Fitr holiday in 2024. During this period, all refineries managed by KPI operated safely and normally, producing as per the set targets.

KPI's Corporate Secretary, Hermansyah Y Nasroen, stated that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, KPI's refineries processed about 850,000 barrels of crude oil per day, in line with the established targets.

From April 1 to 15, during the long Eid al-Fitr holiday, KPI exceeded its fuel production target by more than 100%. The production of the gasoil series reached 100.68%, while the gasoline series production reached 101.82%. As for aviation fuel, KPI produced 110% of the target.

"During the long Eid al-Fitr holiday in 2024, the refinery operations ran safely and smoothly. All refineries produced following the set targets," said Hermansyah in an official statement on Thursday (18/4).

He explained that the arrangement of workers who had to work during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period was one of the keys to ensuring the refinery continued to operate. The involved workers were aware of their role in ensuring the refinery's operation, even during major holidays like Eid al-Fitr.

"The safe and smooth operation during this long holiday could also be achieved thanks to the prayers and support of stakeholders. We thank you for the support given to KPI," Hermansyah concluded.
