BANKING - JAKARTA. PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), now known as KB Bank, is grappling with deteriorating credit quality. This is reflected in the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) Gross or troubled credit level of 9.13% as of December 2023, higher than the same period the previous year at 6.72%.
In his disclosure, KB Bank's President Director Woo Yeul Lee revealed that the increase in troubled credit was due to adjustments to the Covid-19 relaxation policy. In addition, the economy, which has not fully recovered, is affecting the businesses of NPL debtors.
