ISSUER NEWS - JAKARTA. Cigarette manufacturer Sampoerna, PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) successfully recorded growth in revenue and net profit throughout 2023.
According to the financial report, HMSP recorded a net profit for the current period attributable to the parent entity of IDR 8.09 trillion. This is up 28.03% annually or Year on Year (YoY) from IDR 6.32 trillion.
This achievement was supported by a growth in net sales of 4.29% annually from IDR 111.21 trillion throughout 2022 to IDR 115.98 trillion in 2023.
Meanwhile, income from related parties contributed IDR 1 trillion or soared 108.84% YoY. Export sales reached IDR 706.08 billion and other sales IDR 297.84 billion.
Then, income from third parties contributed IDR 114.97 trillion. The details are, machine-made kretek cigarette sales reached IDR 68.92 trillion and hand-rolled kretek cigarette IDR 35.94 trillion.

Still from third-party sales locally, machine-made white cigarette sales reached IDR 8.06 trillion, hand-rolled white cigarette reached IDR 999.60 billion and other sales IDR 1.04 trillion.
On the other hand, HMSP's cost of goods sold also increased by 2.76% YoY to IDR 96.65 trillion. In the same period in 2023, the cost of goods sold by HSMP was only IDR 94.05 trillion.
Then, the total assets of HMSP as of December 31, 2023, reached IDR 55.31 trillion or grew 0.96% annually from IDR 54.78 trillion as of December 31, 2022.
Then, the total liabilities of HMSP were recorded to decrease by 4.39% YoY to IDR 25.44 trillion from IDR 26.16 trillion. Furthermore, the total equity of HMSP reached IDR 29.86 trillion or increased by 6.03% YoY from IDR 28.17 trillion.
