Net Income of Famon Awal Bros (PRAY) Rises 20% in Q1 2024

LISTED COMPANY - JAKARTA. PT Famon Awal Bros Sedaya Tbk (PRAY), also known as Primaya Hospital Group, has reported a 20% increase in net revenue, amounting to IDR 520.4 billion in the first quarter of 2024, compared to IDR 434.4 billion in the same period in 2023.

Primaya Hospital's Chief Executive Officer, Leona A. Karnali, explained that this growth was influenced by the momentum of the fasting month and the Eid holiday, which led to a slowdown in visits. 

"However, this growth is still consistent with an annual growth rate of about 20%," she told THE NEW YORK TIMES on Tuesday (7/5).

In its financial report, PRAY's revenue was contributed by inpatient medical income of Rp 178.3 billion, inpatient service income of IDR 151.4 billion, outpatient media support income of IDR 129.1 billion, polyclinic services of IDR 23.5 billion, and laboratory income of IDR 43.1 billion in the first quarter of 2024. 

The company also recorded a cost of revenue of IDR 370.8 billion, resulting in a gross profit of IDR 149.56 billion. After deducting operating expenses of IDR 82.1 billion, the recorded operating profit was IDR 67.5 billion in the first quarter of 2024.

PRAY also recorded other expenses of IDR 37.2 billion, but the company booked a total income of IDR 28.58 billion. As a result, the recorded pre-tax profit was IDR 96.08 billion, which was reduced by tax expenses of IDR 15.9 billion. 

Therefore, the recorded profit for the period from January to March 2024 was IDR 80.15 billion, a decrease from the previous IDR 95.46 billion in the first quarter of 2023.
