Merdeka Copper (MDKA) Prepares to Pay Off Maturing Bonds


CORPORATE ACTION - JAKARTA. PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) is preparing to pay off one of its maturing bonds. MDKA will make the principal repayment and the fourth interest payment from the Continuous Bond IV Merdeka Copper Gold Phase II Year 2023. 

“The funds will be paid to PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) before March 15, 2024,” wrote  MDKA Company Secretary Adi Adriansyah in an information disclosure at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Tuesday (20/2).

The Continuous Bond IV Merdeka Copper Gold Phase II Year 2023 has a fixed interest rate of 6.50% and will mature on March 15, 2024.

It is known, MDKA will use the funds from the issuance of other bonds as a source of funds for the repayment of this bond. MDKA is in the process of issuing the Continuous Bond IV Merdeka Copper Gold Phase V year 2024  worth IDR 1.5 trillion.

One of the uses of the funds from this bond, which is IDR 1.35 trillion, will be used to finance part of the obligation in the repayment of all the principal of the Continuous Bond IV Merdeka Copper Gold Phase II Year 2023.

The rest will be used by MDKA to finance part of the obligation of all the principal of the Continuous Bond II Merdeka Copper Gold Phase I Year 2021 Series B which will mature on March 26, 2024.
