NATURAL DISASTER/ EARTHQUAKE - JAKARTA. An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck Southern Sumatra in Indonesia on Wednesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The quake was at a depth of 15 km, EMSC said.
