Magnitude 6.5 Earthquake Shakes Tuban, East Java

ILUSTRASI. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has detected a recent earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 shaking the area 130 km Northeast of TUBAN, EAST JAVA (March 22, 2024).


NATURAL DISASTER/ EARTHQUAKE - JAKARTA. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) recorded a recent earthquake that could be felt, on March 22, 2024 at 15:52.

According to the BMKG page, the earthquake occurred at the coordinate point 5.76 S 112.33 E. It was 130 km Northeast of TUBAN-JATIM at a depth of 10 km.

Previously, on March 22, 2024, BMKG also recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3, at 12:31.

The earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred at the coordinates 5.74 S 112.36 E. 133 km Northeast of TUBAN-JATIM at a depth of 10 km.

Another earthquake also occurred on March 22, 2024, at 11:22. BMKG recorded that the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 originated from a depth of 10 km with 132 km Northeast of TUBAN-JATIM .
