Jokowi no comment on the confiscation of money in the Minister of Religion's office

CORRUPTION ERADICATION COMMISSION - JAKARTA. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) refused to comment on the actions of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which seized hundreds of millions of rupiah in the office of the Minister of Religion Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.

"I do not want to comment, this case is still under investigation," Jokowi said after attending the Perindo National Party Meeting at the JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/19).

Jokowi stressed that the investigation into the case which also involved the general chairman of the United Development Party Romahurmuziy was the authority of the KPK.

Deputy Chairman of PPP Arwani Thomafi said that hundreds of millions of rupiah in Lukman's room was an honorarium. The honorarium is not related to the case of buying and selling positions being investigated by the KPK.

"We were told that there was an honorarium, an honorarium as a minister. The minister of visits where there was an honorarium, there were speakers, speakers, all there was an honorarium," Arwani said at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/19)). (Ihsanuddin)
