Jokowi must reshuffle Cabinet soon: Fadli

JAKARTA. House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Fadli Zon has urged President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to immediately decide whether he will reshuffle his Cabinet.

Fadli said it was the President’s prerogative to evaluate the performance of Cabinet members and that he should take action against ministers who failed to perform.

“He should evaluate based on performance, whether or not they have followed his roadmap. If he doesn’t, we will just be wasting time, while other countries advance further,” Fadli told reporters on the sidelines of a House plenary meeting on Tuesday.

Fadli said, citing a public opinion poll released recently, that the public was not been entirely satisfied with the performance of the Cabinet.

According to a survey by Poltracking, 41.8 percent of respondents were dissatisfied with the performance of Jokowi’s Cabinet and agreed with a Cabinet reshuffle. -
