CORRUPTION ERADICATION COMMISSION - JAKARTA. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will examine the Lippo Group boss, James Riady. This examination follows the investigation of the Meikarta project permit bribery case.
"The KPK will examine witnesses such as the provincial and district governments. We will also examine James Riyadi. We need information from witnesses on this case," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah on Friday (10/19).
In the Meikarta case, the Lippo Group Operational Director, Billy Sindoro and a number of his colleagues allegedly bribed the Regent and Bekasi District Government officials.
Febri has not provided other information related to the calling and examination time. "I cannot submit a summons letter," Febri said.
Until now, the KPK has also conducted searches in 12 locations. On Wednesday (17/10) a search was conducted at the Bekasi Regency DPMPTSP Office, Office of the Regent of Bekasi, the private house of the Bekasi Regent, Lippo Office in Tangerang, the home of suspect Billy Sindoro.
The following day, the KPK searched several places, namely Trivium Terrace Apartment, James Riady House, PUPR Office, Environmental Service Office, Bekasi District Fire Service Office.
On Friday (10/19), the KPK also searched the Antero Cikarang Hotel in connection with PT. Mahkota Sentosa Utama (MSU) and Lippo Cikarang Office in Bekasi.
The KPK confiscated documents related to licensing by Lippo to the district government, financial records, and electronic evidence such as computers. Meanwhile, the results of the search at James Riady's house had no confiscation of any items.
"Earlier I confirmed to the KPK team that there were no confiscations of any items related to the Meikarta case at James Riyadi's house," said Febri.
The KPK has named nine suspects in this case. Billy Sindoro Lippo Group Operational Director, Taryudi Lippo Group Consultant, Fitra Djaja Purnama Konsultan Purnama, and Henry Jasmen Lippo Group employees are parties suspected of committing bribes.
The party suspected of accepting the bribe was Neneng Hasanah Yasin, Regent of Bekasi Regency, Jamaluddin, Head of the PUPR Office, Sahat MJB Nahar, Head of the District Fire Department.
