JAKARTA. Noted rock star and producer Ahmad Dhani said the insurance company had refused to cover his son’s medical expenses because the company deemed his son had violated the law.

“This is rather shocking for us but I am grateful that some friends have provided me with some financial assistance so I can pay the medical bills,” he said as quoted by kompas.com on Wednesday.

According to Dhani, the medical expenses for his son reached Rp 500 million (U$ 45,000).

Dhani’s son, who was driving underage and is identified only as AQJ or Dul, experienced severe injuries in a fatal car accident that claimed the lives of seven people on a city toll road several weeks ago. (The Jakarta Post)
