INFLATION - JAKARTA. Indonesia's headline inflation hit an eight-month peak in April, the statistics bureau said on Friday, higher than expected, as hefty two-month discounts on some electricity prices ended.
The consumer price index in Southeast Asia's largest economy accelerated to 1.95% year-on-year last month versus analysts' forecast of 1.60% in a Reuters poll and accelerated from 1.03% in March.
