INDONESIA INVESTMENT AUTHORITY - JAKARTA. Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund said on Friday it has recruited as its managing director Christopher Ganis, an executive at the world's largest asset manager BlackRock.

Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) chief Ridha Wirakusumah said Ganis will be in charge of investments in hybrid capital solutions, including private credit.

BlackRock did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation.

Ganis is listed on BlackRock's website as the company's chief in Indonesia, managing portfolios for private credit investments in Southeast Asia.

INA, which was established in 2021, currently manages $9 billion worth of assets, with a focus on investment in infrastructure, logistics, digital infrastructure, healthcare, and green energy.

It has partnered with a number of investors since its creation, including Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority to invest in Indonesia's Trans-Java toll road, while China's Silk Road Fund in 2022 agreed to invest up to 20 billion yuan ($2.99 billion).
