STOCK MARKET - JAKARTA. The Indonesian Stock Exchange said on Tuesday that a market fall of more than 20% would cause trading to be suspended for the rest of the day, as the market resumes trading after an extended holiday break amid turmoil on global markets.
The stock exchange said a 30-minute trading halt would be triggered by moves of 8%, changed from the previous 5%, saying in a statement the rules were to safeguard against volatility and ensure investor protection.
