Indonesia Merger and Acquisition Trend Declines Over the Last Three Years

From MERGER, JAKARTA - The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has received and processed a total of 74 notifications during the first quarter of 2024. This figure comprises 68 notifications related to share acquisitions and six notifications related to asset acquisitions.

Out of these 74 notifications, 31 notifications, or approximately 42%, are associated with priority sectors. There were 17 notifications in the energy or oil and gas sector, seven notifications in the infrastructure/construction sector, five notifications in the food sector, and two notifications in the digital market sector.
