IDX Composite rose 0.36% to 6,525.27 at the close of trading on Friday (22/3)


STOCK MARKET - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed up 23.49 points or 0.36% to 6,525.27 in late trading Friday (22/3).

As many as 189 price shares rose, 186 shares fell, and 162 price shares did not change.

The increase in the IDX CompositeI was sustained by seven stock sectors, while the other three stock sectors weakened.

The sector with the highest gain was the financial sector stock index which rose 0.99%, the plantation sector stock index rose 0.62%, and the infrastructure sector stock index rose 0.51%.

While the weaker sector, namely the basic industry sector stock index fell 0.57%, the construction sector stock index fell 0.24%, and the manufacturing sector stock index fell 0.06%.

The total volume of stock trading in the Indonesia Stock Exchange reached 16.65 billion shares with a total transaction value of Rp 7.64 trillion.

1. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) (2.01%)
2. PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) (1.66%)
3. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) (1.49%)

LQ45 shares that become the top losers:

1. PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) (-3.92%)
2. PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) (-2.51%)
3. PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) (-2.39%)

Foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp 485.59 billion in the entire market.

Shares with the most significant net foreign purchases; PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp 374 billion, PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) Rp 90.5 billion, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) Rp 90.2 billion.

Meanwhile stocks with the most significant net foreign sales; PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) Rp 217.8 billion, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) Rp 37.8 billion and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) Rp 33.9 billion.
