STOCK MARKET - JAKARTA. The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) strengthened from the opening of trading until the market closed today. On Tuesday (6/2), the IHSG rose 0.68% or 48.79 points to 7,247.41 until the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).

Eight sectoral indices supported the rise of the IHSG today. The property and real estate sector fell 1.02%. The infrastructure sector plummeted 1.01%.

The primary consumer goods sector collapsed 0.91%. The health sector declined 0.64%. The financial sector eroded 0.55%. The energy sector was cut by 0.54%.

The non-primary consumer goods sector weakened 0.36%. The industrial sector fell 0.28%.

Only three sectors fell when the IHSG strengthened. The technology sector fell 1.13%. The transportation and logistics sector fell 0.48%. The raw materials sector weakened 0.15%.

Top gainers LQ45 today are:

  • PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) 4.41%
  • PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM) 4.23%
  • PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) 2.60%

Top losers LQ45 consist of:

  • PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) -4.18%
  • PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA) -2.75%
  • PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) -1.49%

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 16.14 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 8.95 trillion. As many as 284 stocks strengthened. There were 232 stocks weakened and 239 stocks flat.

The IHSG recorded a strengthening of 0.77% in the last week. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the IHSG is still down 0.35%.
