FOREIGN DEBT - JAKARTA. JAKARTA. Dolfie Othniel Frederic Palit, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDI Perjuangan Faction, has raised questions about the government's ability to manage its significant debt due next year.
According to Palit, the government is expected to repay a debt of IDR 782 trillion next year. This repayment accounts for 22% of the country's expenditure, which is approximately IDR 3,500 trillion.
