OIL AND GAS - JAKARTA. JAKARTA. Natural gas projects are expected to be the backbone of increasing upstream oil and gas investments in Indonesia in 2024. There are 15 oil and gas projects, predominantly natural gas, that are anticipated to boost investments in 2024.

The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) reported that upstream oil and gas investments amounted to US$ 5.6 billion or IDR 90.63 trillion in the first half of 2024. The realization of these investments reached 75% of the government's set target.
