CORPORATE STRATEGIC - JAKARTA. PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (GOOD) is preparing to maximize the potential of its biscuit business as it enters seasonal moments such as Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2024.

Dian Astrina, Head of Corporate Communications and External Relations of Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya, stated that for this year's Eid, Garudafood is preparing seasonal biscuit products that are claimed to be highly sought after as special dishes and gifts for close relatives.

The seasonal biscuit products owned by Garudafood are available in jar packaging such as Gery Butter Cookies, Gery Egg Roll, Chocolatos Wafer Cream, Chocolatos Dark Premium Edition, as well as Gery Wafer Roll, and Extrudate.

“We also have biscuits in tin packaging such as Chocolatos Gold Edition and Gery Butter Cookies,” said Dian, on Thursday (22/2).

Garudafood is optimistic that the demand for biscuit products during this year's seasonal moment will soar higher than the previous year. This is in line with the increasingly conducive national economic conditions and situation.

Therefore, Garudafood has increased production by 10% compared to the previous year to ensure the availability of seasonal products.

“We have also distributed these seasonal products at the beginning of 2024,” she added.

Garudafood also claimed that the supply of raw materials for its biscuit production is safe until now. This is considering that Garudafood uses a contract system for purchasing raw materials and packaging materials from various suppliers to anticipate the risk of high price increases and scarcity of goods.

In addition, Garudafood also constantly monitors changes in raw material prices agrees on new prices that will be charged by suppliers, and maintains the availability of raw materials so that the company's business operations remain smooth.

From the distribution and sales side of seasonal products, Garudafood also optimizes online sales through cooperation with several marketplaces to work on wider business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) channels.

The role of e-commerce platforms also greatly helps in promoting and selling Garudafood's seasonal or festive products packaged into hampers during Ramadan.

“This certainly makes it easier for consumers to send gifts to relations or relatives online,” concluded Dian.
