FREEPORT - JAKARTA. JAKARTA. PT Freeport Indonesia, a mining giant from the United States, has received a special gift from President Joko Widodo. The company has been given the opportunity to extend its mining business permit (IUP) until its reserves are depleted.

This opportunity arose following the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) Number 25 of 2024 concerning Amendments to PP Number 96 of 2021 regarding the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities last Thursday (30/5).
