ECONOMIC GROWTH - JAKARTA. It will be a challenge for Indonesia's economy to grow 5% this year due to the global trade war and softening consumer spending, but a moderation won't put the country's ratings at risk, Fitch's head of Asia-Pacific Sovereigns said on Wednesday.
The global ratings agency has trimmed its 2025 growth forecast for Southeast Asia's largest economy by 0.1 percentage point to 4.9%, and sees growth at 4.7% next year.
