JAKARTA. Indonesia booked 0.35 percent deflation in September, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said.
BPS head Suryamin said that the deflation was the first since 2001. From January to September, total inflation stood at 7.57 percent.
The deflation had been predicted by Bank Indonesia (BI), citing the easing impact of the subsidized fuel price hike and the declining price trend of food commodities.
