JAKARTA. The government plans to introduce a new fuel subsidy in April, Finance Minister Agus Martowardjojo says.
“If House [of Representatives] Commission VII and the government are ready, the new subsidy will come into effect on April 1,” Agus said Tuesday.
The new fuel subsidy will restrict the use of subsidized fuels. Under the new regulation, only public transportation vehicles, motorcycles, farmers and fishermen will be allowed to use the subsidized fuel. (The Jakarta Post)
