TAX - JAKARTA. The Finance Minister and the Central Bank Governor have been discussing a range of issues that are a priority for the G20 nations at the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on July 25-26, 2024. These issues range from global economic matters, international taxation, and global debt, to the reform of Multilateral Financial Institutions (MDBs).
Firstly, from a global economic perspective, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati emphasized the importance of economic coordination and cooperation to tackle global challenges such as climate change and inequality. Secondly, in terms of sustainable development, Indonesia is strengthening its national biodiversity financing framework and closing the financing gap for the sustainable conservation and utilization of biodiversity.
