COPPER - LONDON. Copper prices retreated on Thursday, hit by geopolitical tensions, a strong dollar and uncertainty about how soon China's stimulus measures would affect physical demand.

Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 1.8% at $9,906 a metric ton at 1620 GMT, having gained 1.1% in the previous session.
