Chinese interested to participate in RI trade expo

BEIJING. Scores of Chinese businesses have expressed their enthusiasm to take part in the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) scheduled to be held in Jakarta in October.

"This will be a good event for knowing Indonesian products and market," Salina, one of the business people taking part in the Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 promotion activity held by the Indonesian Trade Attache in Shanghai, said here on Friday.

Trade attache Dandy Iswara said a number of Chinese businessmen present at the promotion event came from various sectors including food and drink, property, logistic and other sectors.

Indonesia plans to hold the 30th Trade Expo Indonesia from October 21-25 at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran.

Interested parties may register directly via official website http://tradexpoindonesia.com or manually by contacting the Indonesian embassy in Beijing and consulates general in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, he said.

Trade Expo Indonesia 2014 recorded transactions worth US$1.5 billion down from US$1.8 billion in the previous year.

A total of 1,550 participants took part in the Trade Expo Indonesia 2014 and 5,430 buyers from 95 countries attended it.
