China Invests in Cement Factory in Aceh, Ministry of Industry Expresses Regret

CEMENT BUSINESS - JAKARTA. The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has expressed regret over plans for a new cement factory in South Aceh, amidst a national cement industry that is currently experiencing an oversupply.

For context, the South Aceh Regency Government recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kobexindo Cement, a consortium of the Hongshi Holding Group.
