JAKARTA. As the second concert of American rock band Bon Jovi approaches, fans have placed their belongings for sale on social media in order to purchase tickets for the concert.
The tickets for the Sept. 11 concert, which range in price from Rp 500,000 (US$37.43) to as much as Rp 3,500,000, became available on Monday from various outlets.
A Twitter user called @CiptoYeones announced on his Twitter account that he was willing to sell an Alexander Christie watch for Rp 500,000.
"I want to buy the ticket," the user said in a tweet posted on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user named @Vidi_sehat posted his DSLR camera Olympus E520 for sale on Twitter with the hashtag #DemiBonJovi (for the sake of Bon Jovi) on June 20.
Another fan, a Twitter user named @_lynnavirna, went to more extreme lengths by selling her Vespa Piaggio 150ie.
"For Bon Jovi, I let go my maroon lvx 150ie 3V! Super serious!" she said on a tweet posted Monday.
The cheapest tickets are for the stadium’s upper tiers, followed by the lower tiers priced at Rp 750,000, festival B seats for Rp 950,000, festival A seats for Rp 1,250,000 and the most expensive, VIP seats, priced at Rp 3,500,000.
The promoter, Live Nation Indonesia, said in its official statement that it expected more than 40,000 fans to attend the upcoming show.
