JAKARTA. BMW Group Indonesia recorded 6 percent growth in sales to 3,443 units of its BMW and MINI cars in 2014.
The figure consists of 2,547 BMW vehicles, 510 MINIs and 386 units of BMW Premium Selection.
“I am delighted that BMW Group Indonesia posted growth once again in 2014. Our new models such as the BMW 5 Series and BMW X5 have demonstrated our ability to produce new innovations and technology so as to keep our customers interested in our brand,” group president director Karen Lim said in Jakarta on Thursday.
“The popularity of the new MINI also illustrates our success in developing new designs. We are now looking forward to building on these successes in 2015.”
She said that the group was preparing a comprehensive strategy to reach a new and fresh group of customers this year.
A range of new BMW and MINI models will highlight cutting-edge technology and innovative designs while providing more models for customers to choose from.
“We will introduce more than 10 new models. These will not only showcase the latest technology and design, but will also represent new vehicle concepts tailored especially for a new target segment,” she added.
The new models include the all-new BMW Active Tourer, the all-new BMW X6 and the new BMW 7 Series. As for high-performance models, the new BMW X5M and BMW X6M will soon be introduced to the Indonesian market.
MINI would also introduce vehicles with a new design concept and a range of new MINI models to thrill its fans in the country, she continued. (Nurfika Osman)
