JAKARTA. Bank Indonesia (BI) has raised its benchmark interest rate (BI rate) by 50 basis points to seven percent.
The announcement was made by BI spokesman Difi Johansyah after an emergency board of governor's meeting on Thursday.
In addition, the central bank had also raised its deposit facility interest rate (Fasbi) by 50 basis points to 5.25 percent.
