ISSUER - JAKARTA. PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (AUTO) is expanding the Astra Otopower network through a collaboration with Astra Property. AUTO will introduce Astra Otopower's Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) charging facilities at several Astra Property projects.
The synergy between companies under the Astra Group umbrella is part of a program to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Astra Property's President Director, Nilawati Irjani, revealed this step as Astra Property's commitment to sustainability and the fulfillment of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects.
"This is certainly a positive synergy between the Astra group. For Astra Otoparts, this synergy means expanding the Astra Otopower service network. Meanwhile, for Astra Property, the presence of Astra Otopower further complements the facilities at several of our property projects," Nilawati said in a written statement received by Kontan.co.id, Thursday (1/2).
In choosing locations, Astra Property considers strategic elements and the need for KBLBB charging facilities for tenants, residents, and the public.
Astra Otopower is now present at four new Astra Property project locations, after previously being present at Menara Astra and Resta Pendopo KM 456B.
The four new locations are Anandamaya Residences, where the Astra Otopower location is in the lobby area. Then at Asya, Astra Otopower is located near the marketing gallery.
Next in The Arumaya area, this charging facility is present in the lobby of Menara FIF and the basement of Arumaya Residences.
The presence of Astra Otopower at these four locations was marked through an inauguration ceremony held at The Arumaya.
"Astra Otopower at Anandamaya and Arumaya Residences is intended as a facility for its residents. While at Menara FIF it can be used by the general public. Specifically at Asya, this facility can be used by residents and guests who come to the marketing gallery," explained Nilawati.
Astra Otoparts Director, Tujuh Martogi Siahaan, explained that the Astra Otopower that AUTO installed at these four locations is a charging machine with a 22KW AC Charger type and has used international communication standards.
So all types of electric vehicles (Electric Vehicle/EV) can use the Astra Otopower charging machine as long as the connector complies with the regulations in force in Indonesia.
Martogi stated, currently Astra Otopower is present at 23 locations on Java Island, with a total of 26 chargers. "Astra Otopower uses a charging unit that we produce ourselves and we started introducing in mid-2022," Martogi revealed.
Meanwhile, the Astra Otopower charging facilities at several Astra Property projects are currently non-commercial.
Users can charge for free. Simply scan the QR Code on the machine, then sign in, enter the voucher code, and click the "Start Charging" button, then this charging machine can be used.
In the future, it is not impossible that Astra Otopower will be present to complement other Astra Property projects to serve electric vehicle users, as well as a form of realization of the Astra Value Chain.
AUTO will also present various innovations and expand the Astra Otopower network to reach more customers in the future.
