GENERAL ELECTION - JAKARTA. Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese stated that he had called presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (15/2) morning to congratulate him on his victory in the election.
This congratulation came after the quick count results from several survey agencies that conducted a quick count or quick count of the implementation of the General Election of President and Vice President 2024.

"As a fellow democratic country and close friend, Australia extends its congratulations to Indonesia for successfully holding the presidential election on February 14," he said on Twitter account X which was uploaded on Thursday (15/1) afternoon.

Albanese stated that he felt honored to be the first foreign leader to speak today with Prabowo Subianto, who clearly leads in official and unofficial counts.
He stated in the conversation that he had conveyed Australia's ambition to build the future of Australia-Indonesia relations.
They have congratulated the conduct of the general election in Indonesia, especially the general election of the President and Vice President of Indonesia which showed superiority over the pair Prabowo Subianto Gibran Rakabuming Raka through quick count.
"This morning received a phone call containing congratulations on the ongoing election results from several country leaders," said Prabowo Subianto through Instagram account #prabowo.
The four prime ministers who congratulated on the victory in the quick count of the 2024 Presidential Election were Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, and Sri Lankan President, Ranil Wickremesinghe.
"Alhamdulillah, we must be grateful and continue to guard the official results of the General Election Commission," said Prabowo.
Previously, presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto stated that he had received congratulations from four prime ministers of friendly countries.
