MELBOURNE - The Australian government is reinforcing its commitment to long-term investment in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, according to Peter McGregor, National Treasurer of the Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC).

McGregor confirmed that Australia is preparing an A$2 billion investment facility for ASEAN by 2030, sponsored by Export Finance Australia (EFA). "Indonesia will be a primary focus as it accounts for about 40% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the ASEAN region," McGregor said during a meeting at the Westin Melbourne Hotel on Thursday.
