Active Stock Investors on IDX Decline: Reasons Vary

STOCK MARKET - JAKARTA. The number of stock investors has consistently shown an upward trend year after year. However, this increase has not been accompanied by a rise in the number of investors actively trading.

According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the number of stock investors in 2018 was only 852,000. Of this figure, the number of stock investors who were active annually reached 309,000 or equivalent to 36.27%.
