JAKARTA. State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II has started to move the operations of some international airlines from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

AP II president director Muhammad Awaluddin said on Friday that Korea Airlines and XiamenAir would move their operations to the new terminal on July 17 and July 30, respectively, following the move of Saudi Arabian Airlines and Vietnam Airlines.

Awaluddin added that it was expected that all international airlines would be operating out of Terminal 3 by next year.

Meanwhile, Soekarno-Hatta’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are set to solely accommodate domestic airlines. Both terminals, which welcome more and more passengers every year, will also undergo revitalization in the near future, kompas.com reported. (vny/kes)
