THE fourth National Online Shopping (Harbolnas) will be held from 12 December 2016 to 14 December 2016.
Every year, the event continues to attract more participants. The first Harbolnas only involved five e-commerce entrepreneurs. But this year, the event will involve 200 participants. “This year, the participants increase by 50% compared with the last year,” said Chief of 2016 Harbolnas organizer Miranda Suwanto.
In terms of sales target, Harbolnas is one of the big online shopping events, aside of Ramadhan Online Shopping Day (Hari Belanja Online Ramadhan), Online Shopping Festival (Festival Belanja Online), and Mobile Shopping Day. Miranda said, the 2106 Harbolnas is targeting to reap total sales of Rp 4.2 trillion-Rp 6.3 trillion.
The target was estimated based on the sales of Harbolnas event of the last year, of which Nielsen predicted that the event obtained Rp 2.1 trillion. In this case, the increases in the number of participants and the longer duration of the event are predicted to contribute to the increase in the total value of the sales. “The sales target of this year is two to three times higher than the last year,” Miranda said.
The target is likely to be achieved. According to the survey conducted by Shopback, which is a cahsback platform of online shopping, the consumers express high enthusiasms of this event. “About 86.7% of consumers are interested to shop at online stores during the 2016 Harbolnas,” said Country General Manager of ShopBack Indonesia Indra Yonathan.
