The earthquake which occurred at 21.51 WIT was located at 1.16 North Latitude and 127.47 East Longitude, 11 Km North East of Jailolo with a depth of 168 Km, and was felt in Manado, Sangihe, Kotamobagu, Gorontalo, and North Minahasa and did not have the potential for a tsunami so the people in that area asked to remain calm and alert. NATURAL DISASTER/ EARTHQUAKE - MANADO. A video has gone viral on social media showing the collapse of the right side of the KONI Sario building, in Manado, North Sulawesi.

The right side of the KONI building is suspected to have collapsed due to a recent earthquake, on Monday (11/9/2023).

In the circulating video, cracks can be seen in the building walls and remnants of the rubble scattered on the ground.

In addition, cars parked around the location were also affected.

As of the time this news was published, Tribun Manado is still trying to gather more information.

It is known that a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook Jailolo, North Maluku, on Monday night (11/9/2023).

The earthquake occurred at 19.51 WIB.

The earthquake tremors were felt as far as Manado City, North Sulawesi.

Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake's epicenter was 12 km northeast of Jailolo-Malut.

The depth of the earthquake was 165 km. The earthquake caused panic among the residents of Manado City.

They ran out of the rooms. The duration of the earthquake was about one minute.

BMKG stated that this earthquake does not have the potential to cause a tsunami.
