JAKARTA. The terms of office of two Deputies of the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) will terminate immediately. The deputies Ronald Waas and Hendar will terminate their terms of office on 28 December 2016.
Recently, Ronald Waas is Deputy for Information, Rupiah Management, and Payment Systems, as well as Government Transaction and Loan Affairs. Meanwhile, Hendar is Deputy for Logistics, Asset Security, Syariah Economy, and Regional Area Affairs.
BI has six candidates of the new deputies to President Joko Widodo. The names of candidates have also been transferred to House of the Representatives (DPR). Three of them are nominated to replace Ronald Waas, including Dody Budi Waluyo (Executive Director Head of Strategic Management Department of BI), Hendy Sulistiowati (Executive Director Head of Statistic Department of BI), and Sugeng (Executive Director Head of BI Institute).
Both of Hendy and Dody had once joined in fit and proper test for candidates to replace Deputy Governor of BI Halim Alamsyah. In that time, Erwin Riyanto was selected as the Deputy Governor of BI.
BI also re-nominates Hendar for the current position. Two other candidates are Dwi Parmoto (Executive Director of Regional Department 2 of BI) and Rosmaya Hadi (Executive Director Head of BI Representative for West Java Province).
Member of Commission XI of DPR Andreas Eddy Susetyo said that the commission has not yet received the names of the candidates. He said that DPR will make a schedule for the fit and proper test in accordance with Law on BI. “It will be discussed after Commission XI receiving the letter (on the names of the candidates)”, Andreas said.
Member of Commission XI of DPR Mukhammad Misbakhun said that the Commission XI will just conduct meeting on the replacement of Deputy of BI’s governor after Commission XI receiving letter from Public Consultation Agency. “We will see the dynamics in Commission XI”, he said.
