JALAN TOL - JAKARTA. The Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road sections 1B-1C will be open for business on Saturday.
Toll Road Authority (BPJT) head Herry Trisaputra Zuna said toll road operator PT Kresna Kusuma Dyandra Marga (KKDM) needed to remove the stage and tent that was used for the opening ceremony attended by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
“The toll road trial will open a day after the opening ceremony because we need to clean the location first,” Herry told wartakota.tribunnews.com on Friday.
He added that the toll road would be operated on an open system, meaning that the users only pay a flat rate at the entrance gate.
However, he said they were still waiting for a decree from Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basoeki Hadimoeljono about the rate.
This means that drivers can use the toll road for free until the decree is issued.
They still need to tap their e-money cards at the electronic toll payments, known as gerbang tol otomatis, to use the toll road.
“Their e-money balance will not be reduced because we have set the rate at the reader machine on Rp 0,” Herry said.
