Taipan’s banks set high target in 2017


JAKARTA. Minor banks’ groups, which are owned by the taipans, are optimistic in fire rooster year. In average, the banks set the target growth of two digits.

In terms of credit allocations, the minor banks depend on the segment of micro, small, and medium (UMKM). The segment has huge market potentials and promising margin. For an example, PT Bank National Nobu Tbk owned by Mochtar Riady targets to secure 20%-25% credit growth.

President Director of Bank National Nobu Suhaimin Djohan explained, the bank is still focusing on allocating credits to commercial retail and UMKM sectors. The commercial retail credit contributed to 71% of Bank National Nobu’s credit portfolio. This contribution is targeted to grow by 205-25% in 2017.

Meanwhile, UMKM credit contributed to 25% of Bank National Nobu’s credit portfolio. The number is predicted to grow by 25%.
Another portion of credit flew to consumer segment. “In the future, retail commercial will remain the biggest portion of credit,” said Suhaimin, Monday (9/1).

Meanwhile, PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk’s credit and third party funds may grow by 15% to 17%, or higher than prediction on market growth.
President Director of Bank Mayapada Hariyono Tjahjarijadi said, the bank is targeting the segment of UMKM and corporate credits, as well as credits for productive sectors.

The credit composition will be equal at every segment, depends on the market situation. Understandably, credit’s projection needs economic stability.

Capital Injection

Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, which is owned by the conglomerate Putera Sampoerna sets a target of credit growth at 12%-15% in this year. Most of the credit growth would be supported by UMKM sector, which comprised 70%-80% of the total credit portfolio of Bank Sahabat Sampoerna.

“We are targeting to secure a 12% growth in UMKM credit in this year,” said Financial Director of Bank Sahabat Sampoerna Hengky Suryasaputra.
In order to achieve the target, this bank will receive additional capital as much as Rp 100 billion at the beginning of this year. If the credit grows significantly, the bank will receive more additional capitals.

Likewise, Bank MNC Internasional, which is owned by Hary Tanoesoedibjo is targeting to book 12%-15% credit growth. President Director of Bank MNC Internasional Benny Purnomo said that the bank will boost consumer credits, such as credit card, mortgage, and vehicle credit.

Meanwhile, President Director of Bank Mayora Irfanto Oeji said that the bank is targeting to have 18%-20% credit growth. The bank, which is owned by Taipan Jogi Hendra Atmadja will expand the credit allocation to trade sector of UMKM segment. “The credits will also be allocated to health industry,” Irfanto said.
