IDX resumes normal trading after suffering technical glitch

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) experienced technical problems on Monday morning related to the information distribution system from the data feed.

The technical glitch caused trading to freeze for about an hour before the bourse resumed normal trading activity at 10 a.m.

“At 8:55 a.m., we discovered a problem with the data feed so we decided to stop [the trading activity]. Thank God it returned to normal at 10 a.m.” IDX president director Tito Sulistio told a press conference on Monday.

Tito said there would be no change to Monday's session.

All of the transactions that have occurred (matched) remain recognized or stored on the Jakarta Automated Trading System (JATS).

Meanwhile, all of the transactions that have not been matched (open orders) will be deleted from the JATS system.
